About: Gowri Habba, also known as Swarna Gowri Vratham, is observed by married and unmarried women on Tadige/Tritiya Tithi (third day), Shukla Paksham (bright phase of the Lunar cycle) in the month of Bhadrapada. It is similar to the Hartalika Teej Vrat observed by women who hail from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Rajasthan.
