About: Shivaji Maharaj was the founder of ‘Hindavi Swarajya’ (self-rule of Hindu people). He fought against Mughals to defend his kingdom and was crowned ‘Chhatrapati’ (sovereign) of the Maratha kingdom in 1674. It is also believed that he worshipped Goddess Tulja Bhavani at Tuljapur Shakti peetha temple and got a sword as a boon from the Goddess. He was Born on the Phalgun month Krishna Paksha Tritiya.
